Recovery Bible Study

Our South Florida Christian chapel is on campus and open to all our residents. Jesus died on the cross and resurrected so that all our sins may be forgiven. At our chapel, the brothers and sisters of JC’s House can rejoice in their newfound sober life in Jesus. Worshipping and praising the Lord is one of the many gifts of sobriety. During prayer and meditation we give thanks for His mercy and rejoice in His love.

In bible study, the pupils are welcomed to prayerfully read the Bible and explore the Word with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our Spiritual Director leads the study with spiritual concepts to better mold and shape their understanding of God’s plan of salvation. Recovering addicts and alcoholics have a second chance through his grace. His word is full of promise, forgiveness and guidance. It heals us and tells us what the will of God is for our lives. It is highly suggested that all residents attend to prayer and bible study meeting.

Prayer and meditation is an important part of the 12-step process as expressed in step 11 of the book of Alcoholics Anonymous. We have witnessed it to be the cornerstone of continues sobriety. By implementing suggested bible study and prayer meetings we are promoting a strong relationship with God. In doing so, His will is made clear. Prayer and meditation on his word equips the newly sober addict with the strength needed to obey.
